Starting in April, Johnny's 10-member idol group Hey! Say! JUMP will be getting a new variety show, titled
Yan Yan JUMP
. The program will air weekly on Saturday evenings at 6:30pm. The show is to feature the members of Hey! Say! JUMP as well as members of Johnny's Jr., the members of their agency who have not had a CD debut.
The show's name and theme hails from
Yan Yan Utau Studio
, a program from 21 years ago that featured Johnny's seniors such as Masahiko Kondo, Hikaru Genji and SMAP.
Yan Yan JUMP
will take the place of the group's current show,
Shuumatsu YY Jumping
, which features HSJ members Kota Yabu and Hikaru Yaotome as regular hosts. Though details as to which members will be featured each week have yet to be released, the show will combine elements of sports, games, and live entertainment.
In addition to getting a new weekly variety show, the members of Hey! Say! JUMP will also be acting as hosts of the bi-monthly program
Shounen Club
, which generally airs on the first two Fridays of each month.
Yan Yan Jumping
will air its first episode on April 16.
