WME Petitions Court For $1.95M From Tommy Lee Jones

William Morris Endeavor today filed a petition to get Tommy Lee Jones to pay the $1.95 million in commissions the state Labor Commissioner recently ruled the No Country For Old Men  actor owes the agency. WME’s filing today ( read it here ) with the California Superior Court arises out of the appeal the Oscar winner filed on October 10, with an amendment on October 19, against the Labor Commissioner’s October 1 ruling. WME says it can still push for its money now because Jones did not follow procedure. “A prevailing party in a Labor Commission proceeding may enforce an award where the opposing party has appealed the award but has failed to post the requisite bond,” WME’s action today noted. “To date, Jones has not posted a bond…Absent a satisfactory bond, an award issued by the Labor Commissioner is not stayed and may be confirmed by the Superior Court,” it added. Today’s petition requests a hearing date from the court for a ruling on its request. Read More »

Jennifer EspositoThis Friday, November 2, CBS was slated to air the episode in which Jennifer Esposito’s character Jackie Curatola is being put on a leave of absence, and the first temporary new partner for Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg), played by Megan Ketch, is introduced. However, I hear Hurricane Sandy delayed post-production on the episode of the drama, which is based in New York. As a result, Blue Bloods will air another original on Friday, a standalone episode featuring Danny working protection detail for an infamous photographer who is a witness for Danny’s sister, prosecutor Erin Reagan-Boyle (Bridget Moynahan). Esposito does not appear in the episode (she also was not in the episode that aired last Friday). Esposito’s last episode (for now) has been rescheduled for next Friday. Read More »

By NELLIE ANDREEVA | Wednesday October 31, 2012 @ 3:48pm PDT
Nellie Andreeva

After lengthy negotiations, FX has renewed comedy Wilfred  for a third season with a 13-episode order. The pickup was never in doubt, but it took longer than usual as FX had been trying to hammer out a new deal with the series’ showrunner David Zuckerman. (Most FX series have their showrunners locked in for the first two years only). In the end, Zuckerman, who adapted Wilfred for American television and has served as executive producer and showrunner for the first two seasons, closed a pact to continue as an executive producer but opted to step down as showrunner. He will still be involved in the show on a daily basis, likely not full-time. Read More »
