When you view a folder as a Web page and click a multimedia file, a
preview of the file may not be displayed on the left side of the right
pane. This behavior occurs because the preview feature is set to disabled
by default.
To enable the multimedia preview feature:
- In Windows Explorer, click the Windows folder, and then double-click the Web folder.
- On the
View
menu, click
Customize This Folder
, click
Next
, and then click
Next
.
- On the
Search
menu, click
Find
, type
wantmedia
, click
Find Next
, and then click
Cancel
.
- Change the
false
entry in the following line to
true
:
var wantMedia = false; // cool, but may hinder media file
manipulation
After you make this change, the line should look like this:
var wantMedia = true; // cool, but may hinder media file
manipulation
- On the
File
menu, click
Save
.
- Quit Notepad, click
Finish
, and then quit Windows Explorer.
