Here's what an elated Bhanu Athaiya said as he received the Lifetime Achievement Award, "This award belongs to my father who introduced me to the world of art. This award goes to those directors who gave me beautiful films. This award goes to the actors who put faith in my work. It's a beautiful award. I am very happy. Thanks Filmfare."

Though I have been nominated earlier also and had won awards too, but this being my first ever nomination for the Best actress category makes it all the more special."

Abhishek Bachchan
expresses, "It's not really about the nomination but about the recognition that an actor gets for his work. Though it's great to be nominated and I'm glad to see my name in the same sentence as that for best actors.
Taking over from hubby, Aishwarya adds, "I completely agree with what Abhi said, it's always nice feeling to be here at this award night among the film fraternity and see everyone applauding for your work.

First to be spotted on the red carpet was the musical trio of Shankar Ehsaan and Loy in all black attires.
Next making an entry was choreographer, singer Shiamak Dawar. So, what's the man looking forward to? "Well, the highlight of today's celebrity performances has to be Shahid and Abhishek Bachchan." But who's your favourite? "Shahid is my student and is my favourite. Junior AB is full of energy and both are hard workers.
