Welcome to the Housing and Council Tax Benefit information pages. If you are on a low income, Housing and Council Tax Benefit can help towards paying some or all of your rent and council tax.

You can claim benefit if you:

  • Receive income support
  • Receive job seekers allowance
  • Receive any other state benefit
  • Are working full or part time
  • Are self-employed
  • Are retired
