The Newbury Weekly News
have been giving Christmas Food Parcels
to local residents over the age of 80
for more than 100 years

Today each food parcel contains a Christmas dinner, tea and a few special treats, and last year in 2010 we distributed more than 2,200 parcels, for which we had to raise £15,000 in total.

HOW CAN YOU HELP ?

If you would like to donate to this very worthwhile local cause please either send a cheque to ‘NWN Over 80s Christmas Parcel Fund’ addressed to Geraldine Gardner at the NWN address, or you can use your on-line banking account to make a direct payment into our Fund account held with Newbury Building Society using the following details:

Sort Code  62-28-74
Account Number 00000000 (8 Zeros)
Reference Number
1352242101 - NWN

If you make a direct payment, please email Geraldine
so she knows it's coming.

For some of the elderly residents in Newbury, Hungerford
and Thatcham the delivery of the Christmas Food Parcel
and some company for a few minutes is what they
look forward to each Christmas.

Alternatively, if you would like to help with fundraising,
or find out any more details about the
