Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper addresses the Intelligence Community (IC) Wounded Warrior Program Internship Fair held May 18 at

director, National Maritime Intelligence Center listen. Director Clapper thanked the service members for their courage and sacrifice and said the
internship fairs are a "win - win" situation for the IC and the veterans. "It is a win for our country's wounded warriors who have the opportunity to
continue to serve, and a win for the IC who would benefit greatly from your military discipline and real world combat experience," he said.
More than 700 wounded service members have attended four internship fairs since the program began in November 2009 with nearly 175 accepting internships
resulting in nearly fifty interns transitioning to fulltime employment in the IC. In addition to learning about career opportunities in the Intelligence
Community, wounded service members attend workshops on resume writing, the security clearance process and developing their interview skills.
Director of National Intelligence honors Senator Hatch

Sen. Orrin Hatch received the National Intelligence Distinguished Public Service Medal from Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper
yesterday in a Capitol Hill ceremony. Director Clapper recognized Sen. Hatch for his leadership and advocacy while a member on the Senate Select
Committee on Intelligence and the Committee on the Judiciary in ensuring the Intelligence Community and law enforcement have the authorities and
resources to protect Americans.
