Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson

Before becoming an actor, Cory Monteith held a number of odd jobs as a Wal-Mart greeter, a school bus driver, a roofer and a cab driver. Monteith's small-screen credits include a lead role on the cable series "Kaya," a starring role in the movie of the week "Hybrid" and a recurring role on "Kyle XY." He has also had numerous guest appearances on "Smallville," "Supernatural," "Stargate SG-1," "Flash Gordon" and "Interns."

His film credits include "Final Destination 3," "The Invisible," "Deck the Halls" and "Whisper."

Now that Monteith is living in Los Angeles full-time, he is waiting for a spare moment so that he can learn to surf.

Finn Hudson is a star at McKinley High. Quarterback of the football team, he rules the school with his beautiful cheerleader girlfriend, Quinn Fabray. But his life is upended when glee club coach Will Schuester overhears him singing and targets him for show choir.

Finn loves performing, but the glee clubbers are at the bottom of the social ladder, so he's got to decide if being popular is more important than being happy.

When Quinn tells Finn she's pregnant, he's ready to become the man he thinks he's supposed to be -- that is, until he learns that his best friend, Puck, is the real father.

Finn finds himself sort-of dating Rachel but gets himself out of it. He soon realizes that he has a rival for Rachel's attention. Things get more complicated for him when his widowed mom starts dating Kurt's dad, and they eventually all move in together. Finn knows Kurt has a crush on him, and he's uncomfortable when his homophobic football teammates make fun of him. But Finn comes to realize it's a mistake to let others tell you how to behave and finds the courage to stand up for himself and for Kurt.
