While at Worcester Cathedral, why not visit the Cathedral shop in the cloister.

Shop_inside.jpgThe Shop is open from 10am - 5pm, Monday to Saturday and from 12md - 4pm on Sundays. It is also often open during the interval at concerts.?

The shop has a wide selection of quality souvenirs for all ages, guidebooks and other books, CD's,?postcards, greetings cards, candles, jewellery, teddy bears, chocolates, fudge and buscuits. Music gifts are a speciality.

Your visit to the cathedral could be enhanced by purchasing a Walk Around Guide for?a ?1.00 or an official Cathedral guide book in full colour, for just ?3.50.

Book, A Short HistoryThe shop also?a?book explaining the Architectural development of the Cathedral from it's Saxon foundations to recent restoration , using over 120 illustrations (many in colour).? 'Worcester Cathedral A Short History' , written by Philip Barker, Christopher Romain (The Cathedral Architect)?and Christopher Guy (The Cathedral Archaeologist ), is priced at ?12.99.?

We will soon?offer the facility to order gifts from the shop, by emailing the shop manager and sending a cheque and post & packaging payment. Coming later in the new year will be the facility to buy on line.

Did you know?........ In medieval times, the monks at Worcester Cathedral sold little lead ampullae to pilgrims. These contained holy water. Each of these ampullae would have had the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Wulfstan on them. The holy water was associated with having visited the shrine of Saint Wulfstan.
