Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk has announced that midfielder Rafael van der Vaart is fit enough to join the squad for the quarter finals against Brazil on Friday.

Coach Van Marwijk refused to say whether Van der Vaart would be part of the basic line up as was the case in the first three matches or be kept in reserve. He did not play in the eighth final against Slovakia due to an injury. He was replaced by Arjen Robben.
