The Sochi 2014 Games team extends beyond the members of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee staff ? it includes the entire Olympic family.

The preparation for Russia’s first-ever Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in 2014 is an intricate and extensive process. We have set a very high bar for ourselves, especially since the International Olympic Committee (IOC) believes that every staging of the Games should be better than the preceding one. There are many things that the Games team must accomplish. As we prepare for the Sochi 2014 Games, our goal is to go beyond the expectations of the IOC, the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), the participants as well as the millions of fans of the Games.

Together we must find new solutions, which will lead to significant, sustainable and qualitative changes in Russia and across the world. We must change attitudes towards people with disabilities and set new standards in various sectors, including environment, management and construction

As we continue to develop this project, we are collaborating closely with colleagues from the London, Vancouver and Rio de Janeiro Organizing Committees, as well as calling upon the expertise of the IOC and IPC. We also receive support from the Sochi 2014 Ambassadors, our worldwide and national Partners, volunteers and other participants who are helping us prepare for the Games.

It is precisely through this kind of collaboration that we are able to fully utilize the expertise of our colleagues, set new standards and effectively address the challenges that stand before us.

Thanks to the efforts of our close-knit team, the Sochi 2014 Games will be successful and innovative.

Most importantly, it is by working together that we will achieve our common goal of promoting Olympism throughout the world!
