The always-evolving experimental rock crew
Liars
move in mysterious ways. This morning, the band updated their
MySpace
page
, posting several links to the website
Thesisterworld
.com
, as
OneThirty
BPM
points out
.
The website consists of three videos, all of them depicting still and unchanging natural landscapes. In all three videos, the ambient sounds of wind and water are turned up really loud. Then there's a link that leads right back to the
main Liars website
. No further information.
So what does that mean? Do Liars want us to pay more attention to our precious natural resources? Will the new Liars album sound like ambient beach noise?
Speaking of that new album: the band's publicist confirms a new Liars album is due out early next year. This will be the follow-up to 2007's stripped-down
self-titled effort
.
