Vijay Diwas

Kakinada: BJP leaders paid rich tributes to soldiers who died in Kargil War. The occasion was Vijay Diwas on Sunday, which was to commemorate the supreme sacrifices made by Armed forces. The participants recalled that the then NDA Government could drive away the enemy without buckling under pressure and due credit goes to the soldiers who died in harness. BJP State executive committee member NVV Vinod and party town branch leaders P Nookaraju, N Gopalakrishna, N.V. Saibaba and others said the nation was grateful to personnel of the three Armed forces for defeating the enemy amidst heavy odds. It has been ten years since the war came to an end and the memories of 527 slain soldiers were still fresh in the minds of every Indian, the BJP leaders observed.
