DiCaprio eyes 'Twilight Zone' remake

Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way firm is bringing The Twilight Zone back to the big screen, according to The Hollywood Reporter .

Warner Bros and DiCaprio are requesting pitches for a feature film based on one of the TV show's classic episodes.

Popular instalments include 'Eye Of The Beholder', about a society where the attractive are seen as ugly, and 'Nightmare At 20,000 Feet', which starred William Shatner as an aeroplane passenger who is terrorised by a gremlin on the plane's wing.

The Rod Serling-created sci-fi series ran for 155 episodes between 1959 and 1964. It was later adapted for the big screen as a four-part anthology movie, with directors Joe Dante, John Landis, George Miller and Steven Spielberg helming segments.

DiCaprio has often named Twilight Zone as his favourite show in interviews. It is unclear whether the actor will star in the film or act solely as a producer.
