While attending the University of Wisconsin as a theatre
major, Jane met and became friends with
Tony
Shalhoub
who was instrumental in making her want to reach for the
stars. She followed his advice and enrolled at Yale, joined the Yale Repertory
Company, and even found herself roommates with Richard Burton's daughter
Kate. After Yale Jane went on to appear in several successful theatre
and film ventures. Jane married Bradley Whitford in 1992 (after being
set up on a blind date by Kate Burton), and they have two children.

A Comedy Series for her role on "Malcolm in the Middle."
