First things first: this man is HUGE! At six-feet eight-and-a-half
inches tall, he is by far the reigning giant on television today. But
he's talented, too: after attending UCLA for all of six weeks, Garrett
decided to go into stand-up comedy full time. 1984 he was Star Search's
first $100,000 grand champion in the comedy catagory, which led to his
first appearance on the Johnny Carson show. Only 23 at the time, he's
still one of the youngest comedians to have appeared on the show, despite
not been asked to return after an episode where he told a rather blue
joke on that he was advised against beforehand. That certainly didn't
crimp his popularity, though: he's headlined numerous shows (including
Bally's Park Place and Trump Plaza alongside the Temptations), and has
worked with the lies of Frank Sinatra, Smokey Robinson, Sammy Davis Jr.,
Liza Minelli and Diana Ross to name a few. He now appears on
