University Relations
Boeing works closely with selected colleges and universities to enhance undergraduate curricula, support continuing education of Boeing employees, recruit outstanding candidates for employment, and collaborate on research that benefits the long-term needs of our business.
A Higher Education Integration Board combines the business and technical communities at Boeing to focus on activities that support our engagement with our college and university partners, while an executive focal network fosters relationships with faculty of key educational institutions to further deepen those relationships.
From a programmatic perspective, the
Welliver Faculty Fellowship Program
managed by University Relations and an Internship Program managed by Boeing Global Staffing provides important exposure to students, faculty and institutions regarding how academics are applied in industry.
Boeing also support students on a limited basis through
undergraduate scholarships
, which may be available to students who attend one of the colleges and universities with whom Boeing partners, including some historically black colleges and minority institutions. Please note: for information and applications please contact your school's student financial aid office.
If you have a relationship with Boeing to receive grants for higher education, please be advised that our
online application process is undergoing revisions and will be accepting applications from Colleges and Universities after April 15th
. Applications for higher education grants will be by invitation only to our partner colleges and universities.
Boeing also participates in and supports a number of activities at the local, regional and national level to develop the workforce of the future. An example of that national effort is a listing of the
Desired Attributes of an Engineer
was developed.
