Houston Community College Online Distance Education Formats:

Houston Community College Online Distance Education students have a choice of formats to complete an Associate Degree:

Online Web-based Distance Education Courses -- 16-week offered throughout the year - Fall, Spring, Summer, Web-based courses equivalent to Houston Community College on-campus courses earning 3-4 semester hours of credit with weekly assignments to complete at their own computers. 

Video Cassette Distance Education Courses - Houston Community College students check out a quantity of video cassettes for the semester and view them at home, plus complete assigned reading and written assignments.

Telecourse Distance Education Courses - Houston Community College students view two weekly 30-minute telecourse programs, plus complete assigned reading and written assignments.

Print-based Distance Education Courses - Houston Community College students receive assigned reading from textbooks and study guides and complete written assignments at home.
