So who is Mark? I teach sports law at Fordham University in New York City. My title is
Associate Professor of Legal and Ethical Studies at Schools of Business at Fordham. I have
been teaching since 1987 and in addition to sports, I have taught classes in media and
Internet law. I have also lectured to Bar Associations and other groups.
Before venturing into the world of the web publishing, I have written for a number of
journals, both academic and popular. I have spoken at academic conferences, business
meetings and bar associations about sports league governance, contract, labor, antitrust
and Internet issues in sports. My writings have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall
Street Journal, Sports Business Journal and the New York Law Journal. I was a columnist
for the New York Law Journal for 12 years. In addition, I have appeared on CNBC, Fox
Sports Network, Bloomberg Information Radio and New York 1 News.
