This Site is best viewed using Netscape 2.0 or later, at a resolution of 800 x 600 or more. For best viewing results, set your browser's proportional font to Times New Roman 12 point and fixed-width font to 10 point Courier. (These options are set in the 'Fonts' Section of the 'General Preferences' submenu in the 'Options' menu on Netscape 2.0 or by using the drop-down menu under the 'Preferences' submenu of 'Options' in Netscape 1.1).
Browsing will alo be made more pleasant if you ensure that Links are
not
underlined (See the check box in the 'Links' section of the 'Options / Preferences' menu in Netscape 2.0 or a similar box in the Main Options / Preferences menu in Netscape 1.1N).
Although most of the pages will be perfectly viewable at 640 x 480, the complex tables contained in these pages are easier to use at a high resolution. Whilst this site has been optimised for Netscape 2.0, any tables-capable browser such as recent releases of Internet Explorer should have no difficulty reading any of our pages. Please note that the release version of Netscape 1.1 contained a
serious bug
which means that the search facilities (i.e. the indexes) within the tables do not function with this browser. Thus we would strongly recommend that you
download Netscape 2.0
(which is, in any case, a considerable improvement over previous releases).
Unix and Internet Explorer users should set the font size to 'Medium'. If you don't have any of the fonts specified here installed on your system, choose a similar (i.e. small) font in the same point size, or use a larger font in a smaller size (e.g. 11 point). If text appears curiously formatted, particularly in the Tables, it may be due to using too large a point size.
If a page appears to be curiously formatted or an image or icon appears to be missing, try pressing your browser's 'reload' button.
Please accept our apologies if any bugs have crept into what is a brand new site, and feel free to contact the
