Red Flag Warning is now in effect from tonight through Monday evening for elevations below 2000 feet across southern Lake. Gusty winds, low humidity, and seasonably drier than normal fuels will bring the potential for fast spreading grass or brush fires in southern Lake where fine fuels continue to cure. Winds diminish late Sunday night/early Monday, but the fire weather heat continues on Monday with daytime humidity values in the teens.
Clear skies, light winds, and a dry airmass will allow for temperatures to drop to chilly levels, much below average tonight for the Southern Humboldt interior and Southern Trinity. A Frost Advisory is out, and isolated freezing temperatures will also be likely in the coldest valleys.
