Shari Redstone, Paramount End Merger Talks With Skydance

After months of negotiations, Paramount‘s controlling shareholder Shari Redstone has broken off merger talks with David Ellison‘s Skydance. National Amusements has?“not been able to reach mutually acceptable terms?regarding the potential transaction with?Skydance Media?for the acquisition of a controlling stake in NAI,” said the Redstone family trust that controls Paramount.

Two sources familiar with the sales process confirmed the lead independent director, Charles Phillips, has long been opposed to Ellison’s production firm Skydance Media’s transaction to assume control ? and is expected to vote against the transaction on Tuesday.

The comedian, who hosts? The Daily Show on Mondays, is to host two live episodes of the?Comedy Central?series after the Presidential debates. He will host the episodes on Thursday, June 27, and Tuesday, Sept. 10, after the debates between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.

Fox To Use DatafuelX For Data-Driven Linear Ads

Fox said it will use analytics company DatafuelX’s M3 platform to create optimized data-driven linear media plans aimed at advanced audience targets.
