Etnologjia

Etnologjia (nga greqisht : ?θνο? , ethnos qe do te thote "komb") ^[1] eshte dege e antropologjise e cila merret me studimin komparativ dhe analizon karakteristikat e popujve te ndryshem dhe marredheniet midis tyre (krahasoni antropologjine kulturore, shoqerore ose sociokulturore ). ^[2]

Termin etnologji per here te pare e ka perdorur Adam Franti?ek Kollar (1718-1783) ne vepren e tij Historiae ivrisqve pvblici Regni Vngariae amoenitates botuar ne Vjene ne vitin 1783. ^[3] Ai e kishte percaktuar ate si: "shkenca e kombeve dhe e popujve, ose, studimi i burrave te mesuar, ne te cilin ata interesohen per origjinen, gjuhet, zakonet dhe institucionet e kombeve te ndryshme, dhe me ne fund per vendlindjen dhe vendet e lashta, ne menyre qe te jene ne gjendje te gjykojne me mire kombet dhe popujt ne kohen e tyre. ” ^[4]

Interesimi i Kollarit per larmine gjuhesore dhe kulturore u ngjall nga situata ne Mbreterine e Hungarise si nje vend multi-etnik dhe shumegjuhesor i kohes se tij dhe rrenjet e tij ne mesin e sllovakeve , si dhe nga nderrimet qe filluan te shfaqen pas terheqjes graduale te Perandorise Osmane nga Gadishulli Ballkanik . ^[5]
