William Joseph Casey
(March 13, 1913 ? May 6, 1987) was an
American
politician. He was the
Director of Central Intelligence
from 1981 to 1987 under
Ronald Reagan
. In this capacity he oversaw the entire
United States Intelligence
Community and personally directed the
Central Intelligence Agency
(CIA).
Casey was born on March 13, 1913 in
Elmhurst
,
Queens
,
New York
. He studied at
Fordham University
and at
Saint John's University, New York
Casey died on May 6, 1987 from
brain cancer
in
Roslyn Harbor
,
New York
, aged 74.
