United States Capitol Building

Washington, D.C.
The event was the 41st presidential
inauguration.
Chief Justice
Fred Vinson
gave the oath of office to Truman. Stanley Reed gave the vice presidential oath to Barkley.
This was the first presidential inauguration that was shown on TV.
