Pierogi are a type of dumpling from Eastern Europe . Pierogi are made by wrapping unleavened dough (dough without yeast ) around a savoury or sweet filling and cooking in boiling water. They are often then pan-fried before serving. They are often filled with potato , quark , sauerkraut , ground meat, mushrooms , or fruits. [1] [2] [3]
