The Pechenegs or Patzinaks ( Turkish : Pecenekler , Hungarian : Beseny? , Greek : Patzinaki/Petsenegi or Πατζιν?κοι/Πετσεν?γοι/Πατζινακ?ται , Latin : Pacinacae, Bisseni /in Hungarian diplomas) were a semi-nomadic Turkic people of the Central Asian steppes speaking the Pecheneg language which belonged to the Turkic language family . In 1766 Pechenegs are mentioned in Pecs and Surroundings. [1]
