National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) is a university in Taiwan , named in honor of Dr. Sun Yat-sen , the founding father of the Republic of China . The main campus is in Kaohsiung City . It was founded in 1980.

NSYSU is among the four universities of the Taiwan Comprehensive University System.
