An earthquake , about moment magnitude (M _w ) 6.2, hit the Durand Line , between Afghanistan and Pakistan on 22 June 2022 at 02:24 Afghanistan Time ( UTC+4:30 ).

The earthquake destroyed many houses in Afghanistan. It was felt in the southern parts of India and Pakistan's capital Islamabad and eastern Punjab province . ^[2] At least 1000 people were killed and 1500 were injured. ^[3]
