. From
Connecticut
, he went to the
Berklee College of Music
, before moving to
Atlanta
, Georgia, in 1998. His first two albums,
Room for Squares

Heavier Things
, were successful and were made multi-platinum by the
RIAA
. In 2003, he won a
Grammy Award
for his song "
Your Body Is a Wonderland
". In 2005 he started a band called
The John Mayer Trio
with bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan. In 2006, he released his most successful album,
