James Aloysius " Ace " Lyons Jr. (September 28, 1927 ? December 12, 2018) was an American admiral in the United States Navy . He was Commander of the United States Pacific Fleet from 1985 to 1987. He was born in New Jersey . Lyons was known for writing a column about Seth Rich , a murdered lobbyist, that was retracted by The Washington Times . ^[1] Lyons claimed Hillary Clinton was responsible for the killing. ^[1]

Lyons died on December 12, 2018 from respiratory failure in Warrenton, Virginia at the age of 91. ^[2]
