The flag of Malaysia , also known as the Stripes of Glory ( Malay : Jalur Gemilang ), was created in May 1950. ^{[1] [2]} The flag has 14 horizontal stripes alternating red and white ; in the canton , a yellow crescent and 14-point star on a blue field.
