Carlo Tognoli (16 June 1938 ? 5 March 2021) was an Italian politician.

Tognoli was born at Milan . He was Mayor of Milan from 1976 to 1986. From 1984 until 1987 he was also elected to the European Parliament .

From 1981 to 1992 he was a journalist and director of the monthly newspaper Critica Sociale .

Tognoli died in Milan on 5 March 2021, at the age of 82, from problems caused by COVID-19 during the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy . [1]
