Antonio Stradivari (1644 ? 18 December 1737) was an Italian luthier (a person who makes stringed instruments). He made violins , violas , cellos , guitars , and harps . The instruments he made are called Stradivarius , or Strad for short. Many people think that he is the greatest violin maker. Around 650 of the instruments he made survive. ^[1]
