Sir Alan William Parker , CBE (14 February 1944 – 31 July 2020) was a British movie director from Islington , London . One of his best known movies is Bugsy Malone (1975).

Parker was born into a working-class family in Islington , North London , the son of Elsie Ellen, a dressmaker, and William Leslie Parker, a house painter. [1]
