Luc Paul Maurice Besson ( Pariz , Francuska ; 18.3. 1959., - ) je francuski filmski re?iser , producent i scenarist. Najpoznatiji je po modernim akcijskim filmovima i trilerima koji su pokazali vizualnu rasko? te bili namijenjeni privla?enju ?iroke publike. Najpoznatiji su mu filmovi Leon , Peti element , Veliko plavetnilo i Nikita . Filmovi su mu postali hitovi i izvan Francuske.

1980., osnovao je vlastitu filmsku kompaniju, Les Films du Loup , a kasnije Les Films du Dauphin . Kasnije je pro?irio repertoar kofinanciranjem produkcijske kompanije EuropaCorp . Tijekom rane faze karijere ?esto je surađivao sa glumcem Jeanom Renom .

Za film Subway je nominiran za nagradu BAFTA za najbolji strani film. Nominiran je i za 10 nagrada Cesar , a osvojio je jednu 1998. za najbolju re?iju za film Peti element .
