On February 5, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Administration of the President of Georgia and the Wikimedia UG Georgia. Through the memorandum, the parties expressed their desire to promote joint partnership in the field of information and to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
At the same time, a edit-a-thon of Georgian Wikipedia was held at the Orbeliani Presidential Palace, during which 21 Wikipedia editors from different regions of Georgia wrote 45 articles on Kartvelology and Covid pandemic and edited more than 500 times. The President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili and the Rector of Tbilisi State University George Sharvashidze met with the editors, got acquainted with our activities and talked about the plans for future cooperation.
