One of the world’s most famous golf courses, the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews in Fife, Scotland, will host the world’s top women’s golfers for the Ricoh Women’s British Open as ESPN2 and WatchESPN air three hours of live coverage of each of the championship’s four rounds.
The first two rounds of play on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 1-2, will air from 9 a.m. – noon ET while the third and final rounds on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 3-4, will air from 10 a.m. ? 1 p.m., all on ESPN2 and WatchESPN. In addition to the daily live coverage, one hour of final-round highlights will air on ABC at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
World No. 1 Inbee Park will be chasing history on the iconic Old Course at St. Andrews as she tries for her fourth major championships in one season. Park, who finished second in last year’s Ricoh Women’s British Open, also will be seeking her first win in the event.
Defending champion Ji-Yai Shen will seek her second consecutive win, Among the American players expected to compete in the championship are World No. 2 Stacy Lewis, Paula Creamer, Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson and Cristie Kerr.
