WA certification mark

Web Accessibility (WA) certification mark validates that a website is accessible and inclusive?ensuring that it is usable for all visitors, including those with disabilities, impairments, and limitations?in accordance with the standard guidelines of the WA certification system.

WA certification system

  • Governed by : Ministry of Science and ICT
  • Certified by : Korea Institute of Web Accessibility Certification and Value, Korea Web Accessibility Certification Center, WebWatch Co., Ltd.
  • Valid for : 1 year upon certification
  • Criteria : WA certification based on the Korean Web Content Accessibility Guideline (KWCAG) 2.1
  • Procedure : 3-step screening: pre-examination, expert review, and user review

Act on the Prohibition of Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities, Remedy Against Infringement of their Rights, Etc.

Since April 11, 2008, the Seoul Metropolitan Government (SMG) has complied with the standard guidelines for web accessibility to ensure web accessibility for all, including persons with disabilities and the elderly, pursuant to Article 21 (Duty to Provide Legitimate Convenience in Information and Communications and Communication) and Article 26 (Prohibition of Discrimination in Providing Judicial and Administrative Procedures and Services) of the Act on the Prohibition of Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities, Remedy Against Infringement of their Rights, Etc.
