Wikidata maintenance tasks related to Wikisource:Wikidata .

The goal is to link all Author namespace pages to Wikidata. This maintenance task started as Maintenance of the Month March 2014 titled Author page connection with Wikidata items . The initial migration was completed in 2015 .

Tools [ edit ]

Use these tracking categories:

• Category:Author pages not connected to Wikidata (2 pages), lists all pages in the Author namespace that have not yet been linked to Wikidata.
• Category:Author pages connected to Wikidata (39,262 pages), lists all pages in the Author namespace currently linked to Wikidata

VIAF [ edit ]

Virtual International Authority File resources (for identifying the correct author among several wikidata items with the same name):

• Category:VIAF not on Wikidata (0 pages)
• Report errors with VIAF records

SPARQL queries [ edit ]

• Authors without Wikipedia articles
• Biographies with no identifiers

Progress [ edit ]

New author pages are created regularly and need to be linked to Wikidata. The initial migration to Wikidata was archived , but our recent efforts can be tracked here.
