Vogue Mexico y Latinoamerica is a Mexican/Latin American fashion magazine which is an offshoot of the American Vogue magazine. The magazine is published by Conde Nast Mexico y Latinoamerica . The magazine is published in Mexico as Vogue Mexico and in the United States and the rest of Latin America as Vogue Latinoamerica .

History [ edit ]

Vogue Mexico was first published in the 1980s before suspension of publication in the 1990s. In October 1999 It was restarted as Vogue en Espanol (Vogue in Spanish). [1] [2]

2002?2012: Eva Hughes as editor [ edit ]

Eva Hughes became the Editor-in-Chief of the magazine in September 2002. [3] Under her leadership the magazines circulation doubled. [ citation needed ]

She left the magazine in 2012 after she was named the CEO of Conde Nast Mexico y Latinoamerica . [4]

2012?2016: Kelly Talamas as editor [ edit ]

Kelly Talamas replaced Eva Hughes as editor-in-chief. Talamas had joined the magazine 2007 as editorial coordinator, then she was named fashion editor before becoming EIC. [ citation needed ]

She was responsible for the creation of Who's On Next?, which spotlit new and local regional designers. In 2016, she was appointed as Creative Director for Conde Nast Mexico y Latinoamerica . [5] [6]

2016?present: Karla Martinez de Salas as editor [ edit ]

Karla Martinez de Salas was appointed as editor-in-chief for the magazine in June 2016, after Talamas was named creative director. Martinez served as associate editor, previously to her promotion. [7]
