Turkish Lakes Region

The Turkish Lake District or Turkish Lakeland ( Turkish : Goller Yoresi ) is an area with a series of shallow tectonic lakes within the folds of the Taurus Mountains in Southwestern Anatolia , Turkey [1]

The major lakes are Acıgol (Sanaos) , Ak?ehir (Philomela) , Bey?ehir (Koralis) , Burdur (Ascanius) , E?irdir (Akrotiri) , and the smaller ones are Akgol, Lake Cavu?cu (Ilgın), Eber , I?ıklı (Civril) , Karamık, Karata?, Kovada, Salda (Aulindenos) , Su?la (Trogitis) and Yarı?lı.
