User:Huaiwei and User:SchmuckyTheCat have been attempting to remove this template from flag of Hong Kong , Macao and Gibraltar ( [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] ). Should the use of this template be limited to sovereign States ? There have been many discussions on several talk pages over whether the word "national" should refer only to " nations " or " sovereign States ", or to the broader sense of " country ". ? Why does this template (Lists of flags) include a random picking of countries, plus Antarctica? How a bout merging it with Template:Nationalflags, and perhaps adding links in its header to vexillology and heraldry for reference. =J // Big Adamsky 23:22, 5 February 2006 (UTC) [ reply ]
