Nena Rodrigue is an American television executive and producer. She is currently the head of programming for Sundance Channel . She was promoted by Sarah Barnett in March 2013, the network's new president and general manager . [1]

Under her overall deal at Touchstone Television , which is a division of the Walt Disney Company and ABC , she produced numerous television pilots including Lost & Found , The Johnny Chronicles , Couples , MEDs , and Being Brewster .

Prior to her stint at Touchstone , she was the Executive Vice-President of Imagine Television where she supervised the development and production of numerous series including Felicity (TV series) , Mulholland Drive , Sports Night , and The PJs .

She also worked as the Vice-President of development at Witt-Thomas Productions which was producing The John Larroquette Show and Brotherly Love at the time.

Her career began in alternative programming at Fox Broadcasting Company ( Fox ) where she was involved with reality and sketch comedy series such as The Ben Stiller Show , The Edge and Real Detectives .

A Wolf Films vet, Rodrigue oversaw the expansion of the Peacock’s “ Law and Order franchise and served as exec veep at the Dick Wolf shingle.

Sundance has narrowed down the field to three scripts, The Descendants , T and Behind The Sun , and is considering picking up one of them straight to series. The Descendants , written by Aaron Guzikowski and exec produced by Sarah Condon , centers on a sheriff policing his hometown and the neighboring Indian community they clash with. T , penned by Anya Epstein and Dan Futterman and exec produced by Ira Glass and Alissa Shipp , centers on a transgender male. Behind The Sun , written by Dylan Gary and exec produced by Stanley Tucci , Steve Buscemi , Wren Arthur , is a 1980s drama about a family whose son is allergic to the sun.

Should we create a separate article just for former programming and have just a short paragraph on this page that mentions the key elements and shows?
