I'm re-inserting "honorary" before the LLD degree. See
Legum Doctor
. While it's true that LLD is always honorary in the U.S., that's not true in the rest of the world. Many outside the U.S. (in fact, many
in
the U.S.) may not be aware of that (I wasn't).

In
this edit
Ivananderson
?(

) introduces text which clearly has the imprint of having been lifted wholesale off some other work, i.e. the footnote digits remain ([14]). I have also realized that the same editor has made a number of previous edits bearing the same hallmark, and I am inclined now to remove all additions to the article made by this editor. I have made a Google search for one phrase within the most recently added text without anything turning up, however, unless some other explanation is given for these interspersed numbers in brackets, I move that we have to assume they indicate copyright violations. __

- I suggest that Ivananderson may be copying and pasting text from a previous version of a Wikipedia article.--

- In any case, I have questioned him about this directly on his user talk page, so we'll probably have a clear picture of this in a short while. __

- The more fundamental concern is that this article has stopped looking like an encyclopedic article. Excerpts:
- It was on the mountainsides standing in the midst of his flocks of sheep that he practiced his first homilies.
- [he went to] to research the Spiritual moorings of America's heritage.
- This phrase poignantly expressed a vision for the global endeavor of these two Norwegian Methodist pioneers
- and so on... Even if there's no copyright issue, this article needs to be reverted to the last version not edited by a poetic apologist.

To

. You seem to be new, since you have only two edits under this user name & they are both on this page. I used the
View history
link at the top of the
main article page
(looking at it here would only get you the history of this
talk page
, BTW) to
compare your two versions side-by-side
, and I saw how much
earnest effort
you put into rewording it.
However, when revising content of any kind, anywhere, it saves time and effort to consider how your content fits into the overall guidelines (here, the
Wikipedia:Five pillars
)
before
you start.
By discounting some of the guidelines
that try to steer WP articles towards
neutrality
and an overall
balance
of
notability
, you fell back into the same
problems
as your first draft.
Your point of view, like mine, drives what topics you volunteer to work on in here, and we need editors from all points of view contributing where they feel driven to contribute.
We need
you
.
But to be fair to every editor, every reader and, oh! let me be dramatic, To Knowledge Itself, we have to work towards building neutrality
and
accuracy in Wikipedia.
I wish I could help you on an individual level more than this, but
even typing this off the top of my head was pushing it because my chronic illness
is really acting up lately, and it
always
keeps me from being reliable. I only mention this to show you how heartfelt I'm being in response to your good effort.
Why not bring in another point of view from another source such as
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/15/opinion/sunday/a-christian-nation-since-when.html
and then compare and contrast it with quotes and neutral summaries from the more sympathetic source you've already found?
But before you make any changes at this point, please discuss them on this page first,
either below my text or by clicking the New section link at the top of the page.
Also,
To
editor
Davemck
:
and other experienced editors, if I pointed any
wikilink
to the wrong article, please feel free to fix it for me. Thanks in advance! --

Including photographic evidence, eyewitness accounts, his FBI file (On or after December 8, 2016, FOIA requests currently being drafted), and German documents. 75 years is MANDATORY declassification. All the right wingers in the world will not be able to censor the additions and corrections being made to so many of Hitler's workers and churches in the USA as of the date December 8, 1941.
