of 2010, there were 148 people, 71 households, and 41 families living in the city. The

). The racial makeup of the city was 99.3%

and 0.7% from two or more races.
There were 71 households, of which 19.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 46.5% were
married couples
living together, 8.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 2.8% had a male householder with no wife present, and 42.3% were non-families. 35.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 9.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.08 and the average family size was 2.63.
The median age in the city was 45.3 years. 15.5% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.6% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 26.4% were from 25 to 44; 39.2% were from 45 to 64; and 11.5% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 51.4% male and 48.6% female.

In the city the population was spread out, with 21.9% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 25.8% from 45 to 64, and 19.4% who were 65 years of age or older. Franklin Bechly
(1873-1965) was born in Searsboro. He became Iowa 6th District Judge, serving from 1927 to 1959.
