Modern Love Tokyo ( モダンラブ?東京 , Modanrabu T?ky? ) is a Japanese romantic comedy anthology streaming television series . It is based on the American television series Modern Love , which itself is based on the weekly column of the same name published by The New York Times .

The first season began streaming on Amazon Prime Video on 21 October 2022. [1]

In March 2022, it was announced that Amazon Prime Video had greenlit six Japanese original series, including Modern Love Tokyo . [2] A teaser video for the series was released on 30 March 2022. [3]

It is the third remake of Modern Love to premiere, [1] after Modern Love Mumbai [4] and Modern Love Hyderabad . [5]
