came to Washington, DC to meet with Capitol Hill lawmakers and convey a sense of urgency for providing Ukraine aid. During their 350 meetings on Capitol Hill over the course of two days, Ukraine Action Summit attendees learned that gaining support for the additional aid sometimes means debunking myths about U.S. aid to Ukraine.
[18]
Their primary aim was persuading lawmakers to approve $61B in aid to Kyiv. The Congress passed relevant foreign assitance bills on April 20, 2024, quickly followed by the Senate and by the presidential approval.
