WTF is the word "quadrupeds" doing in a featured book for children who are still learning to count to ten ?! Are you crazy? ?Preceding unsigned comment by 70.36.134.21 ( discuss ? contribs ) added before 1:52, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Should north, south, east, and west be capitalized? In addition, blue whales and Tyrannosaurus rex are big animals, and they don't have four legs. Enervation ( discuss ? contribs ) 14:24, 10 July 2012 (UTC) Reply

Seasons & Animals [ edit source ]

Children living outside of the tropics would agree that there are four seasons. Children learning their numbers in the tropics (or in extreme latitudes) would be very confused by this, as they only have two. I suggest making this book more geographically neutral by addressing this.

Also, not all big animals have four legs. Even being as specific as mammals throws up exceptions kids would be aware of like the blue whale [1] -- Tom dl ( discuss ? contribs ) 18:22, 25 August 2012 (UTC) Reply

I thought it might be better if the season image showed all four seasons e.g. this one:
Also it might help tropical children understand it a bit, even if they don't experience four seasons.
Looks like four legs description has been adjusted to address your point.
