Clay Travis, a Nashville native, has turned himself into a sports media brand.

Clay Travis has inked a deal to take his entire sports media brand under one umbrella with Fox Sports.

Travis signed a multi-year deal to continue licensing his Outkick the Coverage website to Fox.

The Nashville native and Vanderbilt law school graduate has also signed an agreement that will increase his television presence on Fox Sports 1. The details on Travis' television, radio and podcast roles will be released in the coming weeks.

Travis left his role with 104.5 The Zone last year after he was unable to reach a contract extension with the sports talk station's parent company, Cumulus. Travis was left with no radio or podcast home, and his website agreement with Fox was set to expire.

"I'm excited to bring everything under one roof," Travis said. "And my goal is nothing less than world domination."

Over the years, Travis has built a popular, but divisive, sports media brand. He's a published author, he helped generate strong listener ratings for the "3HL" drive time show and his website generates outstanding traffic.

Travis' ascension through the sports media industry has been a case study in the new age of personality branding. He's broken national stories, but also churned out web hits with viral videos such as two women fighting at Steeplechase. All the while he's never steered clear of controversy or backed away from a hot take.

While his social media following grew and his role on Fox Sports 1 television increased, Travis was not offered a substantial raise at "3HL." When the two sides couldn't agree to terms, he left, and was replaced by Mickey Ryan. The "3HL" show has maintained outstanding ratings since Travis' departure.
